Prepare to be a Pirate!

We can't wait for you to become a Pirate this fall. Use this page and the summer checklist to stay on track before you arrive to campus.

For students who enroll after checklist item deadlines, please complete those items as soon as possible, and at the very latest, before you arrive to campus in the fall.

The 2024 Summer Checklist will be available in May 2024.

Summer Checklist 2023 

ACADEMICS & CLASS REGISTRATION

  • Send final official transcripts to Whitworth.
    • High school transcripts: Send final official high school transcript as soon as your school year is completed.
    • College transcripts: Send official transcripts for all college credits earned. Official transcripts are required in order to sign up for a class registration appointment, and a final copy is required once coursework is completed. 
  • Sign up for a class registration phone appointment. Invitations to sign up start going out to deposited students in April and continue to newly deposited students throughout the summer. 
  • Complete your class registration call with a faculty advisor. These calls begin in June and continue through the summer.

HOUSING

  • Submit your Housing Preference Form or Housing Waiver Request – due May 22.
    • All students (including transfer students) are required to live on campus if it's been less than two years since their high school graduation. To submit or make changes to your form, visit www.whitworth.edu/housing-preference.
    • Receive your campus housing and roommate assignment in mid-June.
    • Review what to bring when you move to campus at www.whitworth.edu/what-to-bring.

BILLING & FINANCIAL AID

  • Complete any required financial aid documents and/or processes listed on Self-Service.
  • Review the Whitworth Billing Guide in June, and prepare to pay your bill.
  • Optional: Plan ahead! Before paying your bill, apply for a parent/credit-based loan at whitworth.edu/loans. Payment plans are available after your bill is posted.
  • Your bill will be ready to view the first week of July on Self-Service. Payment arrangements are due Aug. 10 or prior to move in early programming or athletics.

HEALTH FORMS

LATE SUMMER

  • Register for New Student Orientation via the link sent to your email in August. For more information visit whitworth.edu/orientation.
  • Order textbooks for fall semester in August.
  • Optional: Access Handshake to see fall student employment opportunities posted during Orientation Week. Information about accessing Handshake will be sent to students in August.
